We are located in beautiful Centre Wellington, a township situated on the Grand River in south-central Ontario, Canada. Centre Wellington consists of Belwood, Fergus and Elora. Nearby cities include Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph. Within an hour’s drive you can also visit the Greater Toronto Area.

People often ask us what they can do while staying at our B&B, so here are some resources:

Belwood is probably best known for the Belwood Lake Conservation Area, managed by the Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA). The 12 km-long lake (7.5 miles) offers excellent boating, fishing and water-skiing, while a small spring-fed quarry offers an ideal spot for people to cool off on hot summer days.

Fergus is best known for the annual Scottish Festival and Highland Games, held in August.

The Fergus Fall Fair is held in September.

The Wellington County Museum and Archives is in nearby Aboyne, halfway between Fergus and Elora.

In 2010 Fairview & Lake Belwood Golf Clubs were merged to form the Fergus Golf Club.

And should you need it, you can find Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus.

Elora is well known for its 19th-century limestone architecture, its artistic community and the geographically significant and spectacular Elora Gorge.

At the eastern end of the village is the Elora Quarry Conservation Area, a scenic former limestone quarry, which is now a popular swimming area.

The Elora Cataract Trailway is a 47 kilometre stretch of trailway. The Elora Cataract Trail leads from Elora, through Fergus, Belwood, Orton, Hillsburgh, Erin, and Belfountain to Cataract.
